KiteTasks v1.11.2
Reminders you can count on. Every task with a time now gets its reminder, however you set the time, and KiteTasks tells you when notifications are off. You can also turn the global shortcut off.
What's new
- A reminder for every timed task
- Give a task a time anywhere in KiteTasks, whether you type it into Quick Add or the Add a task card, pick it in the date popover or drag the task onto the calendar, and its reminder is set. KiteTasks asks to send notifications the first time you set a time, right when it makes sense. If notifications are off for KiteTasks, a short note says so where you're setting the time, with a link straight to System Settings. Already have tasks with times? A banner offers to turn notifications on.
- Reminders that keep up
- Reminders now show up even while KiteTasks is the app in front. They stay current when the main window is closed: a task you add with Quick Add still gets its reminder, and changes made on another device are picked up in the background. Sign out of an account and its reminders stop.
- Turn the global shortcut off
- If ⌥Space, or the shortcut you picked, clashes with another app, you can now switch it off in Settings › Shortcuts. Your combination is kept, so turning it back on takes one click. And when a shortcut can't be used, the menu bar now says it's unavailable and takes you to Settings › Shortcuts to choose another.
Fixes
- In the calendar tray, every card under the list you picked repeated that list's name. The cards now leave it out, since the section header already shows it. Overdue cards keep it, as they come from all your lists.
