What KiteTasks Is

KiteTasks is a native macOS application that lets you manage your Google Tasks. It connects to your Google account through Google's official OAuth system and communicates directly with the Google Tasks API. KiteTasks is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use KiteTasks for personal or professional productivity purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application. You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell KiteTasks or any part of it.

Your Google Account

KiteTasks requires a Google account to function. When you sign in, you authorize the app to read and write your Google Tasks data on your behalf. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your macOS Keychain and are never sent to our servers. You can revoke this access at any time through your Google account permissions.

Third-Party Services

KiteTasks depends on the Google Tasks API. We have no control over Google's services and cannot guarantee their availability. If Google changes or discontinues the Tasks API, some or all features of KiteTasks may stop working. Your use of Google's services is also governed by Google's Terms of Service.

Mac App Store

If you purchased KiteTasks through the Mac App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's terms take precedence for matters related to the App Store.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in KiteTasks, including its design, code, and branding, belong to Tocopo Co Labs. Google Tasks and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

Waitlist Data

If you signed up through our waitlist, that form is hosted by Tally.so. The information you provide there (typically your email address) is subject to Tally's privacy policy. We use this data only to notify you when KiteTasks becomes available.

Refund Policy

KiteTasks offers a free trial so you can evaluate the app before purchasing. We encourage you to use the trial to make sure KiteTasks fits your needs.

Purchases made through the Mac App Store are subject to Apple's refund policy. Apple handles all App Store refunds directly.

For direct purchases outside the App Store, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us at tocopocolabs@gmail.com.

Disclaimer

KiteTasks is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with future versions of macOS or the Google Tasks API.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tocopo Co Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of KiteTasks. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of productivity, or inability to access your Google Tasks. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Termination

You may stop using KiteTasks at any time by uninstalling the app and revoking Google account access. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or revoke access if these terms are violated.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of KiteTasks after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
