KiteTasks v1.6.0

KiteTasks can now live in your menu bar with the dock icon out of the way, and the whole app — Today widget included — speaks German. Quick Add reads dates in your language too: type "morgen", "mañana", "明日" or "내일" and it picks the day.

What's new

Keep KiteTasks in the menu bar
Turn on Hide dock icon in Settings → General and the dock tile steps aside — KiteTasks stays a click away in the menu bar. The tile comes back while the main window is open, then quietly retreats once you close it.
Launch at login
A new switch right below it starts KiteTasks with your Mac, so it's already in the menu bar when you sit down. If macOS wants to approve the login item first, a button takes you straight to the right place in System Settings.
KiteTasks speaks German
Deutsch joins English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. The whole app is translated — menus, settings, Quick Add and the Today widget — and reviewed by a native speaker, so it reads like German rather than like English in disguise.
Quick Add reads dates in your language
Type "morgen", "mañana", "明日" or "내일" and Quick Add picks the day. Dates and times are read in whichever language you've set KiteTasks to, and English keywords keep working alongside it.

Fixes

  • Your Google profile picture is showing again — it now comes from the account you're already signed in with
  • A calendar event spanning several days no longer shows up once per day in Upcoming and the menu bar popover
  • Calendar settings moved into their own tab in Settings, so the General tab is no longer half calendar setup
