Any list, right on your desktop. The new List widget pins one task list where you can see it — in your own order or by due date — and you can check tasks off without opening the app.
What's new
- A List widget for your desktop
- Add the new List widget in medium or large and pick the list it follows. It shows the list's own color and name, the number of tasks still open, and your subtasks nested under their parent — the same shape you see on the board.
- Your order, or by due date
- Choose how the widget sorts when you edit it: My Order keeps the order you arranged in KiteTasks, Due Date brings the soonest to the top and leaves undated tasks at the end. Tick a task off right in the widget, click one to open it in KiteTasks, or hit + to add a new one.
Fixes
- Codex could not connect to KiteTasks' MCP server — the handshake failed before any tool showed up.
