Your month, right on your desktop. The new Month widget marks each day's events and due tasks and keeps today's agenda beside it — and editing a task now saves only what you changed, so an edit from another device stays put.
What's new
- A Month widget for your desktop
- Add the Month widget in medium, large or extra-large and pick the account it follows. Days with events or tasks due are marked on the grid, and today's events and tasks sit right beside it — choose events, tasks or both, and whether overdue tasks come along.
- Straight from the widget
- Check off today's tasks without opening the app, add a new one with the + button, or click the month to open the Calendar page. Prefer the month on its own? The Month grid widget, in large, shows just the grid.
- Edits that don't undo each other
- Changing a task now sends only what you changed — the title, the notes, the due date — instead of the whole task. An edit you made on your phone or on the web a moment ago stays put, and that holds for AI assistants connected to KiteTasks too. A task deleted on another device now leaves the board as soon as you touch it.
Fixes
- A subtask with its own due date could miss Today and Upcoming when its parent had a different date or none. Subtasks now show on their own due date there and in the Today widget.
- In the List layout, renaming a task and pressing Return could clear its notes and due date. It now saves just the new title.
- An all-day event from yesterday could show up in Today when its calendar was set to a different time zone. Today now shows only today's events.
- If saving a task's notes failed, KiteTasks could treat them as saved and never try again. They now stay pending until the save goes through.
